Kishoku Japanese Restaurant
Connecting traditional and contemporary, Kishoku is a modern interpretation of Japanese cuisine. The main inspiration comes from japanese festival with elements such as festival drum and lanterns that are altered into modern design. The colours inside the restaurant are generally light natural tone to compliment with the vivid colour and natural freshness in their sushi and sashimi. The restaurant is divided into three area, booth area, sushi bar and vip room. In the booth area, each booth seating is match with a handcrafted harvest table using the finest raw wood. Between each booth set, a row of brown tassel with gilded copper crimp suspends from the ceiling to act as partition. The focal point is above the sushi bar, a set of 40 square lanterns arranged in large checker pattern, create a visually striking centre piece above the bar area. The ceiling is mounted with mirror plate creating an illusion of "trompe l'oeil" with the centre piece. Behind the sushi bar is two vip rooms with different function, one designed for chef's table and the other for private banquet. Each room is special in its own, with each one showcase a different backdrop of gold motif hand-painted by japanese abstract painters.
