Spaghetti House Restaurant
Spaghetti House is a chain restaurant established in the 1980s. Our design aims to promote a younger brand image for young families and young adults. The design was inspired by the free spirit energy in Italian cooking. In traditional home cooking, the Italians seldom use measuring tools to weigh their ingredients during preparation. Their cooking style is more so identified as casual, free-spirited and with a sense of wit and fun. The overall design concept is to create a casual yet modern Italian trattoria with the use of rusted iron window, white brick walls, walnut veneer wall panelling, classic wood ceiling beam and some fun and vibrant floor tiles. Tall cabinetries displaying ingredients which are often used in western cuisine are evident in each and every corner of the space. From fresh tomato sauce to olive oil bottle and from bags of farfarlle to boxes of risotto, the idea is to encourage patrons to understand and to have a deeper appreciation and connection with the food which are served in front of them. Black and white contemporary graphics also adore some of the walls to enhance the modem touch of the space. These graphics reveals some of the most interesting Italian idioms which are based on daily italian diet. “ Conosco i miei polli. ” (Literally - “ I know my chicken.” What it means - “ I know what I am talking about ”.) Food are often shared among large groups during family gatherings. “ Sharing their food and spreading love and fun ” is the spirit behind Italian cuisine. Therefore in the open foyer, we have also incorporated a long communal table for larger parties. This one of a kind Italian trattoria will not only be a place for patrons to dine but it will also be space to have fun.
