Wall Clock (Radio Controlled) [SEIKO POWER DESIGN PROJECT STANDARD WALL CLOCK]
In 2002, an in-house designer for Seiko Watch (KK), Seiko Epson (KK), and Seiko Clock (KK) launched a workshop-style project, and in 2006 this item was presented for that project, whose theme that year was "Standard". It was made into a product in 2007. The design supervisor was product designer Naoto Fukasawa. The numerals are abbreviated with dashes in a raised print, pursuing readable simplicity linked to the perfect, undistorted circle. The clock hands are affixed at a center pivot that feels substantial and forms a natural focus, allowing the user to tell the time instantly.
