Is It Time to Bid Farewell to Vinyl?
While most of your audio playback devices are going wireless, there are some that aren’t. If you’ve got a hi-fi audio setup at home, chances are it still relies on not just a wired connection, but an RCA stereo connection. Audio aficionados will swear by their setup, relying on vinyls for perfect sound instead of their phone or iPod.
We’ve showcased a lot of wireless audio transmitters in the past, but this one is different. It doesn’t transmit, it receives! Imagine one day being able to play back lossless FLAC files from your smart-device on your fancy analog hi-fi sound system! With the Mezger by Advanced, that day is today. It actually uses Bluetooth (upto 100ft) to receive audio data, reproduces it to its highest quality using a Digital-to-Analog converter, and directs it via RCA cables to your left and right speakers. Did I mention, Lossless Audio Playback VIA BLUETOOTH?!
If you’re a complete music buff, chances are you have a vintage amplifier or hi-fi audio system. Even today people believe analog sounds WAY better than digital, which is why you can still buy Vinyl disks. However, it honestly doesn’t seem sensible to have the same audio on vinyl for your home as well as on your phone for listening to while traveling. The Mezger seemingly puts the last nail in the coffin for the vinyl disk, with its ability to wirelessly receive downsampled audio, upsample it, and play it back with that beautiful analogue warmth everybody loves so much!
