Today, social changes and a rightward shift are making it increasingly difficult for many Germans to wave their national flag. In light of this new political atmosphere, the agency "design for human nature" has created a way to show Germany's colors with an alternative to the traditional flag, called the "Deutschland Multicolor." As an expression of a friendlier and more open-minded Germany, the flag expands on the national colors, using five equally divided colors that express warmth and harmony. The flag is a new symbol for a more tolerant, relaxed and joyous Germany. The flag‘s symbolism not only refers to Germans and Germany; it is also a multicolored statement of support for human diversity.
