On Chinese New Year’s Eve, every household hangs up paper-cuts of “lotus and fish”. They also greet each other with the expression "Nian Nian You Yu", which translates roughly as "may every year end with ample surplus". Chinese is a language of word-plays, and yú (meaning surplus) sounds like yú (meaning fish) The designers of this beverage packaging were inspired by this tradition. It is not just a product, but an object that evokes happy emotions and a sense of blessing.
