The Mirrored Sight shelter is located on the north bank of Longxi River outside the old town of Longli, Southeast Guizhou, China. It was specially designed for Longli New Media Art Festival. In designing the Shelter, the architects articulated the historical isolation and tension of the local community. The shelter is connected to the old town by a stone bridge which locals used to cross every day to farm, fish, wash laundry and dishes. The site itself marks the transition from the man-made old town to the natural landscape. The shelter is now a place for people to rest and have fun, and has become a new regional landmark.
