The request was to create an animated policy trailer for theaters associated with Caixa Cultural, a nationwide cultural initiative launched by Caixa Econômica, Brazil’s largest government-owned bank. The piece should take place in a fantastic, Willy-Wonka-like factory, presenting a whimsical version of the theater’s backstage and all the pre-show preparations. The film was produced with a combination of 3D animation and model settings filmed in studio. We built the “stage” scenario as a scale model and did all the camera moves inside it using our motion control system. The characters, machines and more complex props were created in CG.
