The FlashSystem A9000 series represents a new approach to data storage, integrating the dynamic performance of IBM FlashCore technology in multiple solutions. The design optimizes serviceability and system performance, focusing on key functional goals: easy access to the memory modules, simplified interface on system covers and, thanks to an innovative method to assemble rack doors using floating acoustical panels, improvement of sound attenuation and airflow. The design of the products in the 9000 family solves the challenge of aligning different hardware elements to form one highly recognizable brand within the IBM hardware portfolio.
