A morcellator is a mandatory instrument for cutting and extracting uterine and fibroid tissue in laparoscopic and mainly gynecologic procedures. The device extracts big tissue through a small incision by cutting the specimen in small pieces. Different than other morcellators that use mechanical rotating blades for cutting tissue, this device uses bipolar energy for cutting tissue. An integrated smoke management improves visibility by smoke amount reduction, produced by cutting with high-frequency energy. The design follows the Olympus Corporate Product Design, which defines the requirements for more than 500 instruments.
