Under normal conditions, the tire is optimized for dry grip, cornering and downforce, and in heavy snow, a hydraulic pump changes the hubs to form wide lateral grooves that generate powerful snow traction. This also raises the vehicle's height allowing it to drive in snow without getting stuck.
