The CLAD chair has an esthetics relation with Cycladic art, characterized by Archetypal oval shapes, anatomic shape abstraction with tuned and tilted elements. The designer put his interpretation of this art and transposed to the furniture context. The product has lightness and delicacy through fluid lines, organic shape, twists and curvatures besides the tuned edges in the limit of the wood resistance. The wood is molded in ergonomic shapes and shows a relation between the product and the human anatomy. Its manufacturing process presents a hybrid production system between high technology and handmade finishing.
