The Black Diamond Magnetron GridLock is a completely new way of locking a carabiner by using magnetic fields. Magnets offer many advantages over conventional spring designs by working in ways that springs cannot. It is more secure than other spring locking mechanisms as the user needs to break the magnetic fields to unlock the carabiner. A truly symmetric design which is easy to use with one hand (right or left). Its hot-forged, radical design has an isolation feature that intuitively captures the belay loop and prevents cross-loading.
