WDS, part of the Woodbrook Corporation group, aiming for market competitiveness and increased design value, needed to develop a new speed reducer project with help from the design area, as this area is still relatively unexploited in such a segment. The new product, called WBX, is produced in cast iron and used in mining, petrochemicals and steelworks, among other areas. Developed with lines that transmit robustness, dynamism and speed, using Finite Element Method (FEM) and facilitated by the adoption of solid modeling, the result is a lighter product with a greater thermal exchange area aligned with design.
