The Red Ovenbird, from the ovenbird family, builds its nest by amassing mud. The idea was to improve on existing salt pots. The use of ceramic without enamel or paint ideal for keeping salt dry and loose without the need of a lid with the ideal form sought in nature, resulted in the shapes inspired by the nests of Red Ovenbirds. Decorative when not in use, they are burnt at a high temperature and are very strong. Salt, fine or rock, is removed by hand with sizes suited to mens hands, too. The product is aimed at a public that enjoys cooking and decorating their gourmet areas.
