The concept of the future ship “MS Wissenschaft” arises from the megatrends of the following years. Science fiction elements were deliberately not used. Instead, five half-height, oval “exhibition islands” filled with large photomurals and comic strips and illuminated by floating ceilings are presented. The ship covers 600 m² and shows a variety of – most of the time interactive – exhibits revealing the latest research development. Visitors can have fun and easily learn how our everyday life could look like in the future and what science contributes to that.
