symbionic membrane
Inspired by a miracle of nature the waterproof-breathable skin of amphibians the membrane was developed with a hydrophilic, closed structure on the outside. On the inside, its serrated and enlarged surface breaks up the surface tension of sweat droplets. This enables the material to quickly take up large amounts of perspiration. During periods of intensive sweating it even absorbs excess moisture without becoming saturated. Body heat on the inside of the jacket is then harnessed to transport water vapour and perspiration to the outside. The jacket always remains dry on the inside, while remaining waterproof and windproof from the outside.
