The AnimallTAG livestock identification and tracking system uses visual rings and electronic tags. The lower part is flexible injected polyurethane with a pointed metallic insert to pierce the animal's ear and attach the upper part to the whole. The upper part - visual and electronic - is reinforced by fiber and over-injected with flexible polyurethane. The electronic TAG has an internal chip to store the animal's data. Another of the system's innovative aspects is the antiseptic compound in the upper part, sealed by a film that is broken when attaching the ring in order to ensure local asepsis.
