Current demining equipment is heavy, hot, and uncomfortable. This affects concentration in the field and causes deminers to remove protective equipment with fatal consequences. Response: A complete protective equipment redesign, including body armor and mask. The ballistic facemask is the first to reach the market: It is half the weight (from 0,5 to 1 kg), yet provides 50% better ballistic protection and increased mobility. It protects against the sun while overlapping layers freely circulate exhaled air, which prevents the visor from fogging up and reduces heat. The visors are scratch-resistant and inexpensive to replace, making them more durable and cheaper than the current visor.
