Designed in 2005, the lamp measures 80 x 10 x 10 cm and consists of a long, slim acrylic striped body with a fluorescent tube inside. The brightly colored strips are cut from translucent acrylic plastic sheets and therefore allow for an endless variety of size and color combinations. The eye catching, aesthetically pleasing design looks best in a bold, contemporary setting. The light density can be set to varying degrees of opaqueness/translucence without the diffusion of the light itself being affected. The major points in favour of this robustly designed lamp is that it’s easy to care for, energy saving and should it accidently fall, it’s shatter-proof and won’t smash into a million pieces.
