This wine leakage detector consists of a cylindrical body made of aluminium alloys, two parallel probes and three legs, both made of stainless steel, and an LED display. To test wine leakage, put the detector on top of a standing, cork-sealed win bottle and let the three legs hold the bottleneck. Push the detector down until the parallel probes penetrate into the cork about 5~8 mm. If wine has already soaked through the whole cork, the cork acts as a conductor between the parallel probes, forming a loop with the circuits inside the body and causing the LED display to flash. The probes are about 1 mm in diameter so as not to destroy the structure of the cork after testing. The probes and legs are made of anti-corrosive material to protect the wine against oxidation.
