Inverters take direct current from solar modules and convert it to alternating current for supply to the power grid. The new casing system consists of four different extruded aluminium sections and a small number of connectors. All casings for the different power output capacity inverters can be built from these components. This saves considerably on warehousing space, and component costs are way below those for the older sheet metal casings, which had to be welded and cleaned with considerable manual input. The quality finish reflects the technical superiority of the units. Protection class IP54 means it can be used safely under tough conditions.
