The IBM eServer xSeries 346 is a 2U rack server. This system offers mission-critical performance and reliability in data-dense environments. The xSeries 346 has a robust sheet-metal bezel created from the main chassis. The hexagonal vent pattern allows less air impedance and thus maximizes system airflow. The main design elements are the tool-less rail design for easy, snap-in installation with cylindrical, quick-release latches. The latches make it easy to slide the drawer in and out for access. The six sculptured 3.5” hard disk handles enable a simple, one-handed cam action. A front-accessible, drop-down control panel provides system status.
