The core theme explored in the ASUS J102 design is “tactile memory” - emphasizing the user’s experience of handling the phone. The soft form, metal body and delicate surface treatment result in a phone that is a pleasure to hold and to use. The housing is an aluminum-alloy, tuned for rigidity, strength, weight and durability. Five colors are available: silver, red, blue, gold, and titanium black. The external color display, camera and flash provide an entertaining, interactive photography experience. The diminutive size does not result in a difficult to use product. Targeting ergonomics, the designers maximized the keypad area and logically grouped the controls. At night, a striking back light provides deep and clear illumination.
