The Element System folding shelf unit is made of stainless steel or powder-coated sheet steel. The ability to fold steel along a perforated line – a technical innovation patented 26 years ago – has been creatively exploited here to create a small wall shelf unit from a single piece of sheet metal. Weighing only 1.6 kg, the shelf unit can support up to eight times its own weight and is highly stable. Thanks to its low weight, it can be quickly and easily mounted to the wall with three screws. Any number of shelf units can be combined above or next to each other to create storage or decorative space – a clear manifestation of minimalist design.
