The EOS 20D is equipped with a newly developed large, single-wafer 8.2 megapixel CMOS sensor (22.5 x 15.0 mm) and the high-performance DIGIC II image processor. The EOS 20D boasts a continuous shooting speed of about 5 frames/second while capturing high-resolution shots with natural color fidelity and precise definition and detail. The EOS 20D's compactness is emphasized by the front-tapered flash unit. The design achieves both the rugged look of a small precision tool and the powerful appearance of an upmarket device. The controls of the 20D carry on the EOS operability tradition. The camera is equipped with a new multicontroller, which moves in eight directions and selects with a center push. The EOS 20D features a magnesium-alloy exterior. With these rich features and refined shape, a secure response is conveyed to the photographer.
