Inside, the emphasis is on a look of naturalness: all fittings including the kitchen, stairs, cupboards, and doors, are made from untreated, oiled oak, interspersed with sandblasted concrete walls. The house plays with opposing aspects such as inside and outside, and top and bottom. Due to its shape and the sparing use of materials, it has a purist and clear feel. A bedroom and open bathroom are located on the basement floor, while at ground level, the kitchen and dining area open out to a paved terrace and to the neighboring forest and a small stream via huge pivot glass walls.
