The GoLite footwear was specifically designed to meet the unique demands of trail running. Current trail-running shoes use a stiff outsole and a soft midsole, a platform adapted from road running and hiking. GoLite has literally turned the running shoe upside down by putting the soft midsole closest to the ground to give runners better balance, more comfort and greater stability. When the shoe encounters a rock or other trail debris, a specialized suspension system envelops the object, allowing the remainder of the outsole to contact the ground resulting in improved stability. The plate offers bruise protection, the dual-density outsole provides traction on various terrain, the midsole provides long-lasting cushioning, and expansive windows of mesh provide excellent breathability.
