In a steadily ageing society, more and more people need to be cared for at home. They are less mobile and cannot always drive to a doctor for the necessary healthcare. The CALNEO Xair has been developed against this background, offering practical functionality through its reinterpreted way of use. This X-ray system for home healthcare is highly compact and therefore easy to transport. Its design is based on recent developments in direct radiography, which have helped to significantly reduce the size and weight of the high-sensitivity imaging plate, X-ray output and battery. Consistently integrating the innovative components, the system is extremely light and weighs in at only 3.5 kg. Designed as an ergonomically sophisticated handheld device, physicians and nursing staff can take it to patients if required and perform X-ray examinations on site. This not only reduces the physical strain, it also saves both time and costs. Equipped with a highly sensitive detector, the DR cartridge allows for excellent images for easy and fast diagnosis.
