Just as the laterna magica had been a further development of earlier ideas in the 17th century, the evolution of modern projection equipment, too, has undergone a long and exciting history of many improvements and advancements ever since its in­vention. Against this backdrop, the FP-Z5000 (FUJIFILM Projector Z5000) impresses with its two-axis, rotat­able lens design. Instead of being fixedly installed within the device, as is the case with common projectors, the lens of this projector can be adjusted to face up or down, to the front or the rear, as well as to the left and right to project images in any desired direction – onto a wall, a screen, onto the ceiling or the floor, depending on the situation and location. In addition, it also allows easy switching between vertical and horizontal display. Since for so doing, the device itself does not need to be moved, it offers a very high degree of flexibility. With its high-performance, ultrashort-throw FUJINON lens, the device is capable of projecting bright and clear images on a 100" screen from a distance of only 75 cm. The easy-to-use projec­tor features a compact body design with smooth, rounded corners that lend it an elegant appearance. Due to its sophisticated technical and aesthetic properties, this projector is particularly suitable for largescreen digital signage or spatial design projections at museums.
