The eye-catching interior design of the On Ne Sait Jamais café is dominated by textiles. To this end, the design has reinterpreted this material afresh. Instead of cutting or sewing it in the usual manner, individual, thin layers of fabric have been laminated together to create three-dimensional objects. The café is fitted out with heavy felt furniture while the textiles, dangling from the ceiling, add a sense of lightness. Just like the lighting, they are attached to a type of horizontally movable steel construction at ceiling level.
