Fu-dau is a tea knife made of bamboo, featuring a curved contour which is produced by exposing a single piece of bamboo to steam. Due to the well-thought-out structure of the handle, this knife can be placed to stand vertically on its cutting edge. The knife owes its stability to a part made of red thermoplastic, a material that shrinks at high temperature and which was used to form a strong, lasting connection between the two wood surfaces.
