The Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold wristwatch showcases a highly distinctive design appearance that places the movement and the materials used centre stage. Inspired by the architecture of well-known Meccano construction kits, it fascinates with innovative mechanics. The movement for this watch was entirely overhauled to make the mechanism visible from the outside. Doing without a dial, the watch allows seeing straight into the 79-piece mechanism housed below the hands. Wearers thus can see and immediately experience the vibrant process of measuring time. Another innovation of the Big Bang Meca-10 Magic Gold is found in the unusual choice of material used. The movement rests in a housing made of “Magic Gold”, an innovative fusion of 24-carat gold and ceramic. This scratch-resistant and very hard gold alloy was created by Hublot in collaboration with the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL). Complemented by the spectacular movement, this patented material defines the special appeal of this wristwatch.
