The Le Modulor proportions system was created by the architect and designer Le Corbusier in the years between 1942 and 1955. Developed as a kind of tool for good design, it provides a differentiated scale that is based fundamentally on the rules of the golden ratio as well as the generalised dimensions and proportions of the human body. Following these design rules, the design of the Modulor is likewise based on a few simple key components. Essentially, this table is composed of legs, joints, rails and a tabletop.
