The Giraffe childcare centre in Boulogne-Billancourt on the outskirts of Paris is in a densely built-up environment. The aim of the project was to liven up the urban landscape through the medium of childish imagination. The building has three floors with a terrace on each floor. The façade is made of white corrugated metal and creates a neutral background for the playful sculptures of wild animals, which take over the space and bring a little poetry into everyday urban life. The building has been awarded the “Effinergie” energy-efficiency label.
