New concepts of urbanity in cities such as Barcelona and Copenhagen are intended to change the future of social interaction. Another concern is how to define mobility with a modern approach and to the benefit of all citizens. The design of the Twizy presents itself as a new and innovative solution in urban mobility. It is based on a concept that envisioned the bringing together of advanced technology and a friendly and accommodating character. The Twizy has the appearance of an unidentified driving object. It features a tubular chassis and a plastic body that lend it its flowing and compact shape. The unusual design idiom of the Twizy is the result of a creative process that aimed to combine the advantages of a car and the ease of a bicycle. The idea was to merge the agility of a two-wheeler with the safety, comfort and practicality of a four-wheeled means of transport. Against this backdrop, the Twizy manages to embody a good balance between a minimal vehicle structure and a maximum in comfort and protection for two people. The passengers are seated in the Twizy in a tandem position that offers generous space – a transparent glass roof both enhances this sense of a spacious interior and provides a dynamic driving experience. The Twizy has a range of 100 kilometres. Furthermore, it boasts the acceleration of a 125cc scooter and a top speed of 80km/h. It is completely silent and can be parked anywhere – even perpendicular to the sidewalk.
