Modern, everyday fashion has failed to address certain aspects of human anatomy, for instance men’s calves. This was another matter altogether in the nineteenth century, when gentlemen wore elegant gaiters – and cowboys wore (and today still wear) leather chaps. The design of the citychaps has picked up on this tradition with an aim to set interesting fashion accents, but also to keep calves warm in the cold. The elastic inner lining fits pleasantly snug around the calves, while the outside fabric falls loosely like a trouser leg.
