The re-design of the Entomology Department at the State Museum of Natural History Karlsruhe brings the diverse world of insects to life. Eight of the columns that formed part of the original architecture of the exhibition room have been integrated with the 26 twisted, bent or recumbent columns that today shape the exhibition space. 13 interactive sensor boards provide facts on 52 different subjects films, which can be called up by just touching the key word. The exhibition also includes a computer terminal, 50 drawers, covered displays, display cabinets, a revolving wheel, showcases, vivaria, mounted insects, large models and three audio stations.
