Two principal considerations governed the expressive design of this showroom. It employs, on the one hand, a jointing method traditionally used in Chinese buildings to connect structural ceiling elements. On the other, this central design feature with its curved shapes and lattice-like construction recalls the fishing nets cast out on the high seas. In this way, the construction of the ceiling honours the fishers that earn their living with the help of their nets.
