The Cleansui Shigaraki JP100-C water purifier was created in the course of the project “Cleansui Knows Japanese Crafts”, for which the water filter manufacturer Cleansui collaborated with skilled craftsmen. Correspondingly, traditional Japanese manufacturing methods as well as industrial technologies were adopted for the manufacture of ultrafine, microporous materials. For this, the manufacturer cooperated with Shigaraki Ware, a production facility for Japanese ceramics which was used by Japan’s famous tea master Sen no Rikyū already in the sixteenth century.
