The development of the new Cervélo P5X was preceded by extensive research into the racing and training environments of triathletes. The result is a bicycle which has neither a seat tube nor any seat stays. The spectacular shape of its frame attracts attention. It features SRAM S-900 HRD disc brakes, which are controlled by a hydraulic pipe. After more than 180 hours of wind tunnel testing in a full Ironman setup, it is aerodynamically an average 30 grams faster than its predecessor P5. The eye-catching Smartpak, Stealthbox and Speedcase components securely store important items during the competition and are easy to remove.
