Nokia WiFi was developed to compensate for interference of the Wi-Fi network caused by other wireless devices. The system consists of a fiber gateway and mesh extender network that provides flexible solutions and fulfills a range of requirements. The smaller element Beacon 3 steers the network to the most powerful frequency by circumventing interference caused by neighbouring Wi-Fi channels or other devices. A mesh system comprising several beacons ensures almost seamless Wi-Fi coverage throughout the entire home. The device can identify up to 17 different sources of interference.
