The architecture of the Popjing Reception Center defies the noise of a big city to create an oasis of calm. The design of the reception area is restful and understated, but is nevertheless sophisticated. The overriding impression is one of wood: the ceiling, made of wooden slats, and the walls clad with cedar radiate a warm, refined atmosphere. The eye is caught by the shelving which stretches up to the ceiling. On one side it serves as a room divider and on the other as storage space for pottery and books.
