The Nikau pendant luminaire is made of FSC-certified bamboo plywood and sold as a kit of single parts. It can easily be assembled on site via push-in nylon clips. The lamp comes in two versions: the long version works best in the corner of a room and several of them serve as a room divider, whereas the short version shown here is suited for direct illumination, for example of tables. The shadow play of the luminaire yields a dynamic effect. The name Nikau refers to the name of the only indigenous palm tree in New Zealand.
