This rice cooker was specially conceived against the backdrop of an increase in overweight in Asia, in order to boil rice so that it contains less sugar. Functionality of the cooker is taken from the principle of ebb and flood, where sand in the waves is constantly being washed back and forth. Following this principle, rice grains in the cooker are constantly scoured while steaming and boiling, whereby 40 percent of the soluble sugar is washed out.
