The UNIC 1 lifestyle stool was developed in the belief that the form of an object need not always reveal its function at first sight. A number stacked together turn into a bookshelf. Put in a row they become a bench. On its own it is an occasional table. The stool is formed by the thermoplastic bending of a laminate of two Plexiglas sheets. The exterior sheet has a single solid colour and a satin surface; the interior sheet is of contrasting clear Plexiglas with a high-gloss finish.
