The material basis for this fire bowl is an industrially manufactured, standard product, a so-called “dished boiler head” which gets its final form from three welded-on legs and an edging. The surface is glass bead blasted and finally treated with a thin film of lin-seed oil. The interaction of clear edges and soft curves gives a harmonious effect. The legs, which are located near the centre, give this timeless form a lightness which merges elegantly with the sturdy construction of stainless steel.
