One of the most important aspects in the purchase of a pair of glasses is the fitting. The quality of the optical glass centring process eventually determines how well the wearer can see. Even the smallest error in centring can reduce the efficiency of the glass by up to 40 per cent. With the new i.Terminal, lenses can be precisely adjusted with an accuracy of 0.1 mm. The centring system captures images of the spectacle frame and the position of the wearer’s pupil. This data is then used to calculate the optimum geometric cut of the lenses. Since the device is positioned in the optician’s showroom, the i.Terminal conveys a calm, welcoming impression, while its clear form language also communicates precision and the high quality of the measuring device.
