Copernico is made completely from recycled aluminium. 384 white LEDs direct the light where it is needed. Nine concentric ellipses, which are all cut from the same aluminium plate, are rotatable in two different axes. They thus allow light to be directed in any desired direction and continuously create new configurations. When all ellipses are positioned on one level, the lamp is entirely flat. One side of each ellipse is completely equipped with LEDs which are fitted on a hidden printed circuit board and which deliver direct and/or indirect light as required.
