wearable chair [archelis]
"archelis" is a wearable chair that can help medical staffs to sit and stand without any burden for muscles. While a surgery, medical staffs especially doctor are forced to be in a crouching position for a long time, archelis is useful tool to stabilize the performance of surgery. It supports body weight by supporting a large area of shin and femur to dissipate pressures. A design of separated legs enables people to take a stance according to their posture. As a result, stability behavior during a surgery improves in a situation such as laparoscopic surgery that requires “a trunk of a body” to be fixed as it controls a forceps by millimeters. Moreover, since archelis do not require any electric power and can be used without cables, it provides stable movements and safety in a surgery room.
